Current Skincare Routine

Bonjour ducklings!! My valentine this year may be my cat, but my love for skincare never dies. My skin has been getting a whole lot better for the past few months, leaving only some deep blackheads and the occasional wombat. Those ding dang blackheads are becoming the bane of my existence now, which is why I've added the Mario Badescu Drying Cream to my arsenal. It's definitely helping and a lot of those blackheads have peaked out by its hand (along with the hands of my facialist), but it is true to its name and dries out my skin quite a bit.
Speaking of dry skin, my usually oily visage has acquired a lovely layer of skin that doesn't seem to go away no matter how much I scrub with my Clarisonic or slap on my Aveeno moisturizer. At first I thought is may have been from the MB Drying Cream or my other love; the MB Buffering Lotion. But after I mentioned this to my esti BFF Jenny, she told me to check all my skincare products for Benzoyl Peroxide, as this could be causing me to peel. Who was the culprit you ask? It was Colonel Mustard in the dining room with the candlestick!! Nah, not really, it was just the REN ClearCalm 3 Clay Cleanser, which is really shocking because I really love all of the other REN products I've tried. In lieu of the REN offering I've been using my ol' faithful Murad Clarifying Cleanser, which I'm pretty sure I'll need to have a tube of as backup forever.
In order to banish that layer of dry skin I've been using the MB Glycolic Acid Toner as well as the Cane and Austin Retexturizing Pads (not pictured) to chemically dissolve that nastiness. My newest addition to the family is the Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizer which, ya know, works well enough. I'm not blown away but I can't complain. I've got the same attitude towards my current eye cream; Origin's Eye Doctor. Sure it's moisturizing, but it does nothing for my dark circles or fine lines. Yes I'm 18 and have under eye wrinkles, I've got a horrible sleep cycle (read: I'm nocturnal).

Happy Valentine's Day ducklings, I love each and every one of you!
