Blogger Induced Purchases

Saturday, April 19, 2014

Now I'm pretty darn good at seeing pretty things on others' blogs and doing my research on whether it'll be something that'll work for me before hitting "add to cart". Sometimes though I just see something look so fab on some fab blogger and go, "I need it". The following products are the fruits of just such weak moments...I really wish I could say I was ashamed.

My first blogger induced purchase was at the hands of Lillian from Parisian to Be. Let it be known that if I smell a product that is almond scented, I must have it, so when Lillian mentioned Desert Essence Organics Hand & Body Lotion you can bet your butt I picked it up when I saw it at Sprouts. Formulated without any yuckies, sinks in nice and quick, and smells like joyous marzipan? Dude, I love it.
From what I can tell, uber-cutie Estee from essiebutton is a major enabler of these "I need it" moments for her readers and viewers errywhurr. Therefore I don't feel so alone in the fact that Essie's Splash of Grenadine is now in my collection. I mean like I'm not gonna jump off a cliff if everyone else is doing it but this is an orchid colored nail polish cliff, so it's a completely different story.
If you haven't witnessed the "chic as hell"-ness of Brittany from Life, Set Sail yet, then you reeeeaally should get on that. She and I have similar coloring (aside from the hair) so I know when something looks killer on her it'll look killer on me as well. Hence, the Bobbi Brown Sheer Lip Color in the shade Rosy. It's a precious pink that's bright but not too bright for everyday wear and will be gracing my lips a lot this spring and summer.
You've seen it on missglamorazzi. You've seen it on Nouvelle Daily. You've seen it on every frickin' UK blog ever since Tarte hit the other side of the pond. Yes, it's the Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation. Now I've only had this for a few days so I won't give my final review just yet, but so far I'm liking it. I didn't buy the special brush you're supposed to use with this stuff cause I was afraid of spending like sixty bucks in total for a foundation I didn't like (I'm cheap, deal with it). Instead I'm using my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush as it's fibers are just about as short and dense as the "Airbuki"'s are and I'm doing just fine.

What are some of your blogger induced purchases?
