Begin with a foundation and concealer that you know are really gonna perfect your skin, but not mattify too much. You don't have to be pale as heck to have milky, Snow White-esque skin, chocolate milk is definitely a thing. For me, the dynamic duo of skin perfecting is Givenchy Teint Couture Long-Wearing Fluid Foundation and Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. Powder wise, my suggestion is either to go without, or only on the T-zone for us oily ladies to keep shine at bay. Princesses shine, but not by way of nasty face oil.
To create the whole "I'm literally a Disney character" cheek look, use a product that's just straight up red. I know it looks terrifying in the pan and can easily turn into something clownish. But a light dusting of some firetruck hued product is what will give you a nice healthy flush that makes you look like birds and deer helped you get ready this morning. My choice is the Stila Convertible Color in Poppy, but if cream blush isn't your thing (it isn't really mine either, this is just the product I have on hand) I believe Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Natural Beauty would do the trick. A light pink-y champagne highlighter under the brows, on the cheekbones, and down the nose finishes off the complexion. If you're a "more bang for your buck" kinda girl like me, Benefit's Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in RSVP totally works as a highlighter, but the brand's High Beam works just the same.
Lip-wise, a sheer red is what you're going for. Slap on your favorite lip balm and then use any red lip/cheek tint. The Convertible Color works great on lips too and definitely gives natural looking "lips red as the rose".
And there ya go! Now go awaken your prince or break a curse or discover that your family tree is like a thousand times more complicated than you ever imagined. #OncerProblems
